America Works is the only television program dedicated to careers. It focuses on virtually every aspect of a worker’s/manager’s life - both in and out of the office.
From business trends and personal finance to flex time and making time for family and work - America Works, Television that Works.
Each segment educates viewers on the world of options and how to make the most out of their employment. Topics include: Hot Companies To Work For; Profiles of Successful People; Tools for the Road Warrior; Time Management; Getting and Staying Organized; Managing Your Career Via the Internet; Self-Employment, Work AT Home, and Management Spotlights.
America Works is the anchor show of a growing network of programs airing on local PBS stations around the country produced by The Employment Channel. TEC produces Employ.Com NY and NJ Works, carried by public broadcasters WNET in New York and the New Jersey Network, with replays running on various local cable channels throughout the Northeast. These programs will undergo a transformation this fall to include a fresh format with new on-air graphics that support the America Works Brand. Employ.com in New York will join the brand family as New York Works.
